Jammu Municipal Corporation, the erstwhile Jammu Municipality was established after the reforms under taken by Lord Rippan in the first quarter of 19th Century. The Provision of elective element in the Municipalities was introduced in the Year 1930. Next step towards the development of Municipality in the state was the passage of J & K Municipal Act 1941.
In the 51st year of Republic of India, the State Legislature passed the J & K Municipal Corporation Act 2000, giving it status of Jammu Municipal Corporation. With the upgradation to the Status of Jammu Municipal Corporation the city has been divided into 71 wards. Its present population is 5.03 lakhs, floating population 10 lakhs and density of 5,697/sqkm.

Bad experience, Had issues during OTP generation while registering complaint. Tried with 3 different numbers but got negative response both from website as well as app.
I complaint vide JMC18617, they provided me the contact if person who is not lookin after this area. This app is only eye wash. Nothing is resolved here.
Very bad experience the JMC don't even know who is working in their department and who is not ,I logged a complaint on the app in jammu for a location in jammu and the app sent me text message comprising of contact details of a person who is living in Kashmir and don't even have a clue about JMC and told me that JMC is full of mad men this is one of the reality of jammu lack of development because here the government department's don't even know who is working in their department
