Use UptoPlay to play online the game Volfix - volume control fix.
Android 9 brought a lot of new features to our devices but in the same time, it brought an annoying drawback: The volume buttons control the media volume all the time and we have to perform multiple steps to change the ringtone and notification volume.
There is now a fix to this problem and it is called Volfix.
When Volfix is enabled, the volume buttons of your device will control the ringtone and notification volume by default. It will control the media volume while you are listening to any kind of sounds and it will control the "in call" volume while there is an ongoing call.
Volfix requires to be enabled as an accessibility service in order to listen for volume button press events and to map the buttons to control the ring and notification volume instead of media volume.
Please note that at the moment Volfix only works while the screen is on.

Recent changes: Disable Volfix while Spotify is active. This will allow you to control your Spotify connected devices while the app is opened and Volfix won't interfere.

Brilliant, thank you . This app shouldn't have had to been made. But google seems to intent on messing up everything, why would they change a thing that's not broken.
They either deleted my 1-star review or Google isn't showing it. Either way, the app does not work. I allowed the permissions it required and still not working. Useless app.
I have hated on the volume button issue since I got my pixel 6. I actually thought my phone had a tech issue. This is so much better!! Thank you!
Fixes the volume button! I had a new phone about a year ago. Suddenly I thought it was broken because the volume button only seemed to control media. Finally I learned this was an Android update. How idiotic is that? At least give us the option to change it back! So yeah anyway this app fixed it and I'm super happy about it. I hardly ever need to mess with media volume but notifications I change all the time. The version I have doesn't ask for permissions not sure if the newest version does?
I can't believe this app is even necessary, I just got a Pixel 5a and was completely baffled that hitting the volume keys didn't change the ring volume. Thankfully this app works great, adjusts the ring volume when nothing is playing and adjusts the media volume when media is playing."
