DESCRIPTION
Play this online game named ThaiPrice.
So, you're on holiday in Thailand at one of the many attractions that charge an entry fee. Your eye is drawn to the price list by the entrance laid out in the familiar western-style numbers used world-wide. You naturally ignore the strange symbols on the sign next to it.But something is being hidden from you...
In Thailand there are two ways to write numbers - using western digits (1,2,3...) which most Thais use every day, and Thai digits (๑,๒,๓...) which few foreign visitors can read. Many attractions in Thailand have 'dual-pricing' - lower prices for Thais and higher for foreigners - and in most cases the 'Thai prices' are displayed only in Thai digits. While there may be a valid case for such dual-pricing, there is no excuse for hiding it by using Thai digits.
This small app allows you to copy the Thai digits often displayed alongside prices in western digits and see how much more (or, who knows, maybe less) you will be charged compared to locals at popular tourist attractions.
What you do with this information is entirely, as the Thais like to say, "up to you..."
