We get it, there are a lot of tracking apps out there. We made one more. It's made exclusively for wind-water sports and it's made for serious racing. SYRF utilizes exclusive tech from some of the world's best sailing minds. We wont bore you with the details but we've tackled serious engineering challenges that haven't been solved before at this scale, such as handicap time corrections in real time, state of the art current data conversion and visualization, clock sync, and even some innovations in nautical charts. Quite simply, if you race using the wind on the water, this is the app for you.
SYRF is completely free. There are no subscriptions, no ad networks, and no in-app purchases. You don't even need an account to track yourself in a race or view other races.
Some features that set SYRF apart from the competition:
- Track your favorite stats in real time: TWA, SOG, COG, VMG.
- Maneuver analysis: quickly see where you lost time.
- All race devices are synced to the same clock using NTP.
- Free weather and currents (RTOFS, GFS, ICON, HRRR, etc.)
- Real time handicap time corrections for multiple handicap methodologies, including PCS.
- Real time course interaction detection such as OCS events. No more general recalls.
- Made for every person and contraption that uses wind on the water.
- The world's first sailing race search engine.
- The largest library of polars in a mobile app, to check yourself against the theoretical max speed for your boat.
- Built with direct input from some of the greatest sailors in the world such as Stan Honey, Steve Benjamin, and Larry Rosenfeld.
We have big plans for the future. We're going to revolutionize sailing and make it open, accessible and easy. Join us!
