DESCRIPTION
Use UptoPlay to play online the game Circle of Fifths.
It`s a small lightweight application of Circle of Fifths. In music theory, the circle of fifths (or circle of fourths) is the relationship among the 12 tones of the chromatic scale, their corresponding key signatures, and the associated major and minor keys.
At the top, you have the key of C major, which has no sharps or flats in its key signature. Each stop on the circle as you go clockwise from C is a key with one more sharp than the previous key. Each stop as you go down counter-clockwise from C is a key with one more flat than the previous key.
Enjoy with UptoPlay the online game Circle of Fifths.

Great setup but the minor chords should be indicated with lower case Arabic and Roman numerals, where appropriate. That's because such labeling conveys a better understanding of both chord forms and nature of such cords, at a glance. It's also consistent with spelling out chord progressions, as seen in written music, such as a jazz Fake Book. With such a change this app would get 5 stars.
The circle is well presented but some things need to be different. There are no enharmonic keys such as C# Major, Gb Major and Cb Major so the keys end at 6 sharps and 5 flats instead of showing all the way up to 7. The stave lines are too faint and don't show a chef so the sharp or flat positions are meaningless. The 3rd ring added for the sake of chord VII is generally unnecessary. If this was changed slightly as mentioned, I would recommend this app to all of my pupils without delay.
Works well to give you a visual of all the relative chords in each key. Makes translation of one key to another easy. Improvements could include hearing the root note of each chord on tap maybe the whole chord on quick double tap. Chord spellings and inversions too. Show common chord changes.
PERFECT circle of fifths app. You don't need anything more than this. Does exactly what it says, without problems. Coloring arrangement makes it even easier for beginners to understand the circle of fifths.
I use it frequently when transposing. Great visualisation with coloring. Unobtrusive advertising banner. Would be even better if you could hear any chord be played when pressing it on the circle. Thanks.'
