Bimbo is a band from Bandung, Indonesia, which was founded around 1967. Bimbo's personnel consist of three brothers, Sam Bimbo, Acil Bimbo, and Jaka Bimbo. And in its development later added by their younger sister Iin Parlina. They hum about love. Joking in songs, starting with the mustache, hands, eyes, to the future in-laws or making social satire. However, Bimbo also talks about God through God's song.

In the mid-'70s, Bimbo began to be strengthened by Iin Parlina, their 7th (youngest) sister. Iin previously joined the Yanti Brothers group with her two older sisters Yani (5th child) and Tina (6th child). After Yani and Tina got married, the Yanti Brothers disbanded. Iin, who still has an interest in singing, was invited to join the Bimbo group with her three older brothers from 1971 until now. After adding personnel with Iin Parlina, Trio Bimbo changed their name to Bimbo. The name Bimbo is often written as Bimbo & Iin. After joining Iin, Bimbo began to touch songs with everyday themes such as Abang Becak to songs whose titles use serial body parts such as Mustache, Hands, and Eyes which tend to have a humorous tone. Indeed, Iin's presence is not always present in all albums, because of that by many circles he is often considered as an additional member of the Bimbo group.
Entering the '80s, Bimbo began playing songs with social criticism themes such as Between Kabul and Beirut or Letters to Reagan and Brezhnev. However, on the other hand, the characteristics of being a religious group are also closely attached.[6] From there attached religious songs that are easily accepted by the market. It started with the song God by Sam Bimbo and continued with the album Qasidah around 1974, Sajadah (1977), and others.
