Filtramus play online

The DPLA project (Digital Public Library Of America) available at https://dp.la is about developing a public database for education, lifelong learning, family and scholar research.

The Europeana project available at https://www.europeana.eu is also about building a public database to facilitate the sharing of the digitalized cultural heritage.

The Filtramus application is empowering the user to search both databases alternatively, and to add the desired search results into the application's Favorites List.

The search results are displayed in a paginated list (a list item consists of a thumbnail image and a description). After hitting a specific thumbnail the user may choose to open a website with details about the item, or to add the item to the Favorites List.

The most recent search results are available until a new search gets completed (hit the "search DP" or "search EU" icon to open the search dialog).

The Favorites List (hit the "Star List" icon to access it) is currently limited to 50 items, and it's starting with the most recently favorited items.

The Settings feature (hit the "Gear" icon to access it) permits adjusting the number of images per page.

The thumbnail images are accessible via https or alternatively http. In the latter case instead of the thumbnail image a "sun" image is displayed.
