Follow up from last review - The app is still fantastic, still doing exactly what the name says. The only feature I would love to have is a timer that will turn the volume back on after an hour. I mute my phone before meetings and sometimes forget to unmute afterward, then I miss notifications. The obvious fix is for me to just remember, but it'd sure be nice to have a backup. It's very simple and does exactly what it says it does. And nothing more - no ads, no unwanted background processes. It's completely clean and perfectly functional. Brilliant!
Extremely convenient to have it on home screen and hit it when I want to watch only but don't need audio coming through or mute in an instant during meetings, restaurants etc. Do many times avoided sharing something I didn't want ithers to hear. It's been few years and is working without any problems.
Really love this app, it coincides with my volume level bar. The minute I turn it on, my volume level goes all the way down and makes all sounds non distracting, esecially at night. So, very convenient. Again, love this app. That's why I rate it a 5. Highly recommend it for anyone who does not have a do not disturb function on their smartphone.
The app works perfectly, does what should be a built-in function of the operating system. However, it regularly pops up a request for you to rate the app. On that pop up is a check box saying not to ask again...but it does. So after putting up with that for a year, I'm writing a review hoping -that- will stop it from disrupting my phone use.
So many apps sneak their way past the device's sound settings but Mute saves the day! Now I'm not waking my husband with startling ad noises from games that supposedly have sounds turned off! The only thing missing would be the ability to white-list other apps, like a music player or audible e-reader so that I could listen to something on a sleep timer while falling asleep."
