Use UptoPlay to play online the game Board - Live Train Times.
Board offers live train departure times for any UK train station*. Powered by National Rail Enquiries
Search for departure stations by name or by station codes and get up to the next 10 train departures.
Results are displayed in a swipeable carousel for ease of navigation.
Pull-to-refresh to keep your train time information up to date.
Destination stations are filterable using a drop-down menu and a time offset function allows you to search for departures up to two hours in advance.
Click on a destination station along your route to view connecting trains that depart from the arrival time within a 2 hour window.
You can save favourite stations and routes for frequently taken journeys.
View service update tweets from the all of the train operating companies to see if there are any issues with their service from your departure station or along your route.
The map section uses geolocation to show the 10 closest train stations within a 10 mile radius. You can also search for any location in the UK to find the closest train stations.
When you click on a station within the map section the departure results are updated.

BOARD is a nice app to use, and the data is all correct and nicely laid out as you would expect. The app interface is a little crowded in my opinion - it would be nice to be able to hide some of the things at the top, as well as the Twitter icon, in a menu or in a drop down (on my device these take up around half of the screen). Also, the ability to search by CRS code would be nice - searching for "Man" brings me Ammanford and you have to scroll quite far to reach Manchester Piccadilly!
This is a brilliant app. I've used most of the competitors but this is way better, particularly the departure boards format. It would benefit from a widget with fav journeys. I love the format but it does look like a ZX spectrum display, with HD mobile displays being the norm it would benefit from an HD UI. Getting rid of ads would be great, more than happy to pay a fee to do this. The best app I've ever used is Train Times on IOS, these mods would make it the best train times app available.
Very good. It would be nice if it showed how many carriages in the train and the location of first class (and the carriage names A, B, C etc) like it does on the platform displays. Update: Have been using it a couple of days now and liking it. It has a nicer UI than the Live Train Times app. It is quick, quicker than Trainline app which I've used for years. Good comms from developer.
The best departure board app I've found, nice and simple to use and the favourites option is useful. But please please please can you change the destination drop-down with a text search?! Either the destination isn't listed because the departure time is far ahead (sometimes by just 10 mins at busy stations!) or you have to scroll through so many options (again, busy stations this function is just unusable). Otherwise great!!
Includes train length and works for trains that split en route (which few apps do). Clear interface but I wonder if a summary of departures screen might also be useful. Also, developer is super responsive and welcomes suggestions for improvements. I'll definitely keep an eye on this app"
