A simple to use app that creates a route of where you take a dog on a walk, and at the end of the walk automatically sends an email of that journey to the dog's owner.

Owners love feeling more involved with their dog's daily activities, and the Tailster app shows them that you are providing a fun, healthy and enjoyable walking service for their pet.
The app automatically keeps track of every walk you take the dog on, and at the end of each walk automatically emails both you and the dog owner with the date, duration and route of the walk.
Because the app stores each walk on your mobile phone, and also sends you an email about it, you'll have a record of every walk you go on - no disputes over which days the dog was walked and for how long
Using the app
You'll need to sign up for a free Tailster account (https://tailster.com) and sign up to become a walker or sitter.
Whenever you are taking a dog out for a walk, you'll see the name of the dog shown in the Bookings tab of the app.
Press the 'Track walk' button, and you'll see your location shown on a map.
Press 'Start' when you are about to begin your walk and the app will track your location and progress.
When you finish your walk, press the 'Stop' button.
The app immediately sends an email to the owner containing a route map of the walk, the distance you walked and when it started and stopped.
Disclaimer: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

App is constantly logging me out, is so slow when moving between pages AND because it had logged me out I missed so many messages and quote requests as I didn't get any notification. Needs updating asap!
I've been a carer on tailster for about 3 months, recently they lost my details; bank details, proof of identity, proof of address, at an extremely inconvenient time. This has led to over £200 in my account being inaccessible at a time when I needed it, and their customer service is very little help, repeating things that I'm already aware of. My experience with tailster so far can simply be described as inconvenient, all the way down to how the app functions.
Theres no excuse for such a poor UX in 2019. The listings don't load, and when they do, they show irrelevant listings. The push notifications alert me about jobs many miles away, despite me clearly selecting my max distance, but not local ones. Set up is clearly tricky for owners too given the amount that submit without vital details like dates required. The competitors like Rover are much easier to use.
Incredibly slow to load, never shows new messages and this is vital if you expect to win clients. The resetting of search parameters for new listings makes quoting on more than one very tedious and irritating. I've messaged Tailster directly about this app and my post was removed so to say they haven't made any progress on improvements over the past 3 or more years is absurd.
Absolutely awful App! DON'T get it if you're starting a business! We've had alot of trouble with the app and not been able to get 1 customers because messages don't come through. So for example we had one customer send us a message to arrange a meeting but they found someone else due to the stupid APP not sending it through to us! Then we get 'told off' because we didn't update the Customer services!"
