You do not scan the actual animals. There are like circles of animals to take a photo and an augmented reality version of the animal will appear. However it was hard to use as instructions were not clear took a while to figure it out.
The app idea and graphics are good but the UI needs improvement. The app lags and does not function properly when toggling with other apps (phone camera, pdf zoo map, etc). I started at the Fishing Cat Trail option and walked until the third checkpoint, only to have the app restarted and removed my first two checkpoints. And then the walking continuation to the Wallaby Trail does not allow to start from third checkpoint. The fixed checkpoint sequence is inflexible and a major disappointment.
Downloaded the app, tried to follow the quest, answered the quiz correctly but when it seems like ive to scan something with my camera, unable to unlock camera and continue with the quest. App also keeps telling me that ive to use the latest version of google AR, which ive reinstalled a few times but the prompt keeps coming up. My phone is also up to date and my partner faced the same difficulties Abit disappointed cause this app was promoted at the entrance of night safari by a promoter.
Unable to use camera; prompts to install google play ar latest version despite already using latest. Looking forward to try once fixed
`Easy to use app. Made the Night Safari experience more enjoyable. Was fun trying to take photos with the AR animals. Might be good to make it clearer that the "optional" animals are actually part of the other trail's quest. Was a bit confused initially as I wanted to do both the Fishing Cat & Wallaby trail quests and thought I had to restart the quest.`Page navigation:
