Ocean Data - Sentinels of the seas play online

A fun, positive whistleblower tool, Ocean Data is a participatory science application for all users and lovers of the sea. Through your participation, you help improve knowledge of the marine ecosystem and provide arguments for its preservation. Because researchers cannot be everywhere at the same time, citizens can help them by providing information that is useful and complementary to their work. We have created Ocean Data so that the sharing of observations is fluid and fun. So you can collect badges depending on what you see.

Have you met an animal ? A plant ? A piece of trash ? Everything is recordable on Ocean Data! Whether by the sea, from a boat or returning from a dive. Even near a lake or a river.

You will earn new badges during your outings, they will evolve and your statistics (environmental impact index, rankings, ...) will improve. The monitoring over time that can be done with your contributions will help us to guide policy makers and to intervene in the right places with our partners by carrying out pollution control campaigns. We will also keep you informed of the actions that have been carried out thanks to you!
