A bus (archaically also omnibus, multibus, motorbus, autobus) is a road vehicle designed to carry many passengers. Buses can have a capacity as high as 300 passengers. Given the significant costs involved, the MTC opted to replace the tramway with buses. Two White trucks were converted into buses at the companys Youville repair shops and the new service was launched on November 22, 1919.
