Most often projects fail due to ignorance of the core constraint that restricts it to get completed as per scope, schedule and budget. Identifying the core constraint that doesn't allow the project to get completed as planned and minimising its impact would help an organisation grow better.

"Theory of constraints" helps us in understanding the constraint better since it relies on the definition - " A system is constrained to grow by one or only few core constraints". This philosophy finds its place in Project Management as well, in the form of CCPM.

CCPM or Critical chain project management is the application of "Theory of Constraints" in project management that helps us understand the critical success factors in project management, identifying the core constraint, devising strategies to ensure that the negative effect of core constraint is always minimised.

This application has been proven successful in various organisations - small to big - in managing their projects; and across industries - right from construction to production to software companies.

The course content covers topics in the order of introduction to project management as a function, understanding the key elements of a project, categorising it to manageable sub parts, understanding the reasons for project failures; followed by CCPM modelling for single project and multi project environment, that covers buffer management, with the right understanding of Theory of Constraints. We follow up this course with Question/Answer session where we strive to address the learner's questions.
